Students rarely think about natural disaster risk, but it’s a great way to integrate multidisciplinary and 3D thinking through real-world project-based learning. This research-based, student-driven inquiry approach is customizable and can align with multiple and cross-disciplinary standards. We will use natural hazards as a topic to unpack this process, but it can be applied to various concepts that impact lives and livelihoods in any school or community.
