The Power of Enduring Relationships: Teaching Students Resilience Skills to Thrive for Life

Join Beth Buchanan for an engaging session that will blend a variety of leading-edge research and expertise for viewing and supporting students, especially in the secondary grade levels. Participants will gain new understanding of how brain science, relationships, and protective factors play a role in mitigating ACEs and in a student's social and emotional development. Beth will focus on how to educate adults and empower youth to seek and develop safe, consistent relationships with adults that builds a launching pad for success. Participants will learn about the powerful and easy to understand Integrative Youth Development (IYD) framework that can set the foundation to make this happen for every student.
